Azura means "blue" in Persian and she is aptly named because of her two alluring blue eyes. Azura was imported from Ireland and has one of the most incredible Gypsy Vanner bodies anywhere! She is as correct as they come and has beautiful, drapey, silky hair. Definitely a Rolls Royce of the Gypsy Vanner breed! Azura was born in the Spring of 2001 and is almost 14.2 hands. When we first saw a photo of this exceptional mare, we immediately inquired about purchasing a future foal from her. On the same day we inquired, Azura was offered for sale due to health problems of the owner. Meet Snowy River of Orcas Island. His name has nothing to do with the movie but rather the weather we were having at the time!
Snowy was born April 20, 2008 and is out of our wonderful mare Azura and by the very incredible stallion, Lord of the Ring, owned by Mulberry Lane Farm in Oregon.
Snowy will be a tall horse at maturity if his legs are any sign! He also has one of the prettiest heads I've seen and is as straight as can be. He will also be another fun foal to watch develop at Orcas Feathered Horses!
